Glycobiology is a main area of Glycosciences, dealing with various aspects of glycans, including carbohydrate structure, biochemistry, biological functions and applications. This is necessary in order to sustain and advance the identification of key glycobiological aspects and the application of Glycans and Glycoengineering strategies in the design of novel therapies to improve human health.
Suggested topics include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Glycans in Human Physiological Mechanisms
• Glycans and Cancer
• Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation
• Biosynthesis of Disease Related Carbohydrate Antigens
• Methods in Glycosciences
Chapter Submission Procedure
Researchers are invited to submit on or before June 30, 2015, a 1-2 page chapter proposal. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified July 31, 2015 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Authors of accepted proposals will be sent guidelines to prepare the full chapter (7,000 – 11,000 words length). Full chapters are expected to be submitted by October 31, 2015. All submitted chapter will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as a reviewer for this project.
The book is scheduled to be published by Science Publishing Group and it is anticipated to be released in the end of 2015 or in the first quarter of 2016.
