Abstract

When to start production of jingdezhen tea sets? Literature and archaeological excavations is not consistent. According to the latest archaeological excavations, as early as in the Tang Dynasty, Fuliang County had been an important tea producing area and distribution center. Drinking tea became a custom, tea utensils arised at the historic moment. tea market demand gave birth to Jingdezhen tea set, Changnan porcelains became famous in the world, The main tea utensils were the big bowls and the small cups equipped with saucers. People began Grinding tea into powder, so sencha replaced cooking tea.
