Abstract

Balzac's works are numerous, of which it can hardly be avoided that there are errors and omissions in the Chinese translation and introduction. In translation, there is misuse of words and marks of quotes, stop, question, semicolon and solid dots etc. mistranslation of kinship terms and gender pronouns and proofreading negligence. In introduction, some details is not accurate and worthy of further improvement. These errors, some is because of not fully grasp the content, others is due to the urgent translation time, translators extremely tired and some is because of the passage of time, the old translation should be adjusted according to the modern needs. This paper points out the specific performance, hoping to promote translation work to further improve.
