Organizations' attempt in promoting psychological capital and psychological empowerment and encouraging OCB would have crucial role in improvement of knowledge sharing behavior in organizations, new research suggest.
Organizations with focusing on promoting factors like confidence, hope, optimism, and resilience with taking strategies like verbal persuasion, setting difficult goals for employees and reducing job stress improves social and professional interaction among employees and finally promote knowledge sharing behavior two months later, according to a new study conducted in Fars province hospitals.
Lead author Tayebeh Sadegh, who conducted the research at Fars province hospitals, analyzed data on 361 professional staffs and those who had high level of experience.
With applying OCB promoting strategies (mentioned above), individuals with higher level of psychological capital and psychological empowerment influence OCB positively that it results to higher knowledge sharing behavior among employees with higher OCB level.
A paper about the study appeared recently in American Journal of Applied Psychology.
