About This Special Issue
Like other somatic tissues and organs, multiple physiological systems affect aging of the human immune system. This is believed to result in an increased frequency of infectious disease, autoimmunity, cancer and cardiovascular disease in later life. This special issue of the International Journal of Immunology covering the novel latest researches and advancements, genetic aspects and biomarkers in our knowledge of aging and immunosenescence both in vitro and in vivo. Areas that are considered include, but are not limited to cellular and molecular aspects and Immune risk profile of immunosenescence, The novel interventions to delay or prevent immunosenescence, The immunosenescence and diseases, the immune responses and Inflammatory networks during immunosenescence. The highest quality reviews or Commentary will be covered. All papers are fully peer-reviewed by reviewers and independent academic editors.
