About This Special Issue
Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) are opening up exciting new applications in the area of lighting and displays. OLEDs are self emissive and by careful materials and device design can generate colours across the visible spectrum. Together with simple monolithic fabrication on a range of different substrates, these diverse material properties give OLEDs key advantages over existing display and lighting technology. . It is believed that OLEDs will become the dominant choice for the future generation flexible and flat panel displays. Stability, degradation in device performance is the major problems that hinder the rapid commercialization of OLEDs. There is a great need for the development of the synthesis of better materials and encapsulation schemes to improve the operating life times and reliability of OLEDS.

Aim and Scope:

1. Electroluminescent materials
2. Transparent conducting thin films
3. Operational and Engineering of OLEDs
4. Applications of OLEDs in displays and Solid State Lighting
5. Development of flexible electronics
