Applied Plasma Physics
01About This Special Issue
Plasma is a gas in which an important fraction of the atoms is ionized, so that the electrons and ions are separately free. Plasma physics is the study of charged particles and fluids interacting with self-consistent electric and magnetic fields.Plasma physics is an interesting field of study in the scientific community both from the theoretical and experimental points of view with wide range of applications, from astrophysics to future energy sources and even next generation accelerator technology, radiation sources, surface coatings and plasma medicine. Other applications include inertial confinement fusion, laser produced plasmas for material analysis, X-ray sources which are subjects of rapidly growing interest and impact. For example, high intensity laser produced plasmas are capable of accelerating particles to high energies over very short distances.
Submissions are invited for a Special Issue of World Journal of Applied Physics devoted to the applied plasma physics with the scope of a broader domain.
