The intention of the organizers is to make the publication of a platform for exchange of views and discussions between representatives of science experts and practitioners. The publication will be an opportunity to present the latest research results and experiences in the field of broadly understood socio-cultural security.
Security is currently one of the highest valued values in both political theory and practice, in public space and in private life. It has thus ceased to be the exclusive domain of uniformed services and has evolved into a common good, for which everyone is responsible. It is worth taking a closer look at the resulting threats to the security of the modern world and to reflect on the importance of contemporary social and civilizational changes for security and peace in order to identify the most important policy challenges in time and to face them.
The factor that exerts a huge impact on the security environment, greater than the divisions of the international community, are globalization processes. The inevitable consequence of globalization is the erosion of the sovereignty of states that affects each entity, though to a different degree. This process is progressive, but it is as solid as globalization itself, which affects the order and international environment. Globalization processes affect especially the socio-cultural sphere, creating a new security threat. Hence, such an important issue will be the main discussion issue of our publication entitled "Threats and challenges of the modern world. In the socio-cultural dimension.
Aims and Scope:
  1. State security policy (military and non-military)
  2. Social and cultural dimension for example migration, terrorism
  3. Conditions of international security
  4. The importance of international organizations in shaping security policy for example NATO, UE, USA
  5. Threats to security policy in today's world
  6. The role of instruments and law in creating security policy
