Coast Science is the scientific study of coastal areas. It provides a forum, unifying the multidisciplinary approaches to study of oceanography of coastal zones. Disciplines as zoology, botany, geology, sedimentology, physical oceanography, and environmental pollution are included in the coastal sciences. There is high level of biodiversity and biological activity because interaction of the sea and land processes occurs in coastal zone. Biodiversity move to feed and breed through their life cycles between complex and sensitive ecosystems. Coasts with beaches attract tourists so these recreational areas relates to human health. Coastal sediment processes, which are the forces that erode, transport and deposit sediment along shorelines, caused by the forces of wind, waves, currents and tides. Seabed processes are related to variations in the substrate properties of the seabed habitat and there is interaction between sediment and water.
Aims and Scope: 1. Coastal ecosystems 2. Beach water pollution 3. Coastal sedimentary processes 4. Seabed processes
