Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring of spatial resources is always compounded by the challenge of choosing from the many variables which are important based on their relative influence on the final decision. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a tool which has potential to support spatial decision making by the application of the various suites of applications developed for different scenarios especially for unstructured fuzzy cases which involve a selection of multiple factors. Today than ever, issues of location is paramount in understanding interactions, movement and functionalities of phenomena over any given space. Analysis of spatial relations and modeling of realities as spatial problems is on rise given the dynamic nature of our immediate environment. Given the increasing demand for problem solving and spatial thinking in education, business and administrative spheres, GIS remains an appropriate technological tool to use in understanding spatial behavior and processes of phenomena as driven by human and natural processes. In my works, it shall seek to demonstrate the application aspect of GIS in the management of spatial information, modeling and analysis of fuzzy spatial problems and as a decision support tool. The studies will entail: Suitability mapping, and Change analysis amongst other integrated applications. The aim of the work will be to explore the wide range of application to which the geospatial tool can be used in revealing hidden spatial relations, patterns, trends and conditions associated localized man-environment interactions through case studies.
