Introduction
As we all known, the structure and relationship of the world energy supply are changing frequently, especially the continuous recession of the international oil price so that the requirements for controlling the production costs and improving the safety management are increasing prominently in the production process. So it is necessary to improve the Design Theory & Methods and Simulation Technology for oil and gas equipment, drilling and completion tools, monitoring and controlling system. This special issue is to improve the dissemination of advanced research in the area of design and simulation technology that can fulfill to improve the reliability and reduce the cost of research and development. Original research papers are solicited in any aspect of innovative Design Theory & Methods and Simulation Technology.
