About This Special Issue
The topic of the proposed Special Issue regards traditional and, above all, innovative heating and air conditioning systems for buildings. Both the global systems and the single components can be investigated, regarding the research activity and design issues. The system performance can be analyzed with reference to energy demand, energy costs, the ability to control the indoor thermal-hygrometric parameters, plant costs and so on. Also research issues related to the interaction between refrigerating groups/heat pumps and HVAC systems for buildings can be analyzed. The Special Issue could include two main sections: one referred to research articles and one containing the presentation of information (not research papers) on the above reported issues.

Aims and Scope:

1. Heating and air conditioning systems for buildings
2. Interaction between refrigerating groups/heat pumps and HVAC systems for buildings
3. Reduction of building thermal loads
4. Interaction between building and HVAC systems
5. Interaction between renewable energy sources and HVAC systems for buildings
6. Mechanical ventilation systems for buildings
