Therefore, this special edition aims to summarize and propagate the most recently discoveries in photodynamic therapy for the treatment of infectious diseases of medical and dental interest as well as provide guidelines for the use of this modality in the hospitals and dental clinics. This special edition will also provide insights on the applicability of the photodynamic therapy in different microorganisms, the action of several photosensitizers available in the market and the new possibilities that are been studied, and offers a space to exchange multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary experiences between healthy professionals. Therefore, in this edition literature reviews, clinical studies, case reports and original articles may be submitted as long as they contribute to the scientific and clinical knowledge in the Laser therapy field. In order to be selected the articles will be evaluated regarding their scientific merit and contribution to the current knowledge.
Aims and Scope:
  1. Photodynamic therapy
  2. Microorganisms
