Guidelines for Submission
Manuscripts can be submitted until the expiry of the deadline. Submissions must be previously unpublished and may not be under consideration elsewhere.
Papers should be formatted according to the guidelines for authors (see: http://www.sciencepublishinggroup.com/journal/guideforauthors?journalid=300). By submitting your manuscripts to the special issue, you are acknowledging that you accept the rules established for publication of manuscripts, including agreement to pay the Article Processing Charges for the manuscripts. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the online manuscript submission system at http://www.sciencepublishinggroup.com/login. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the special issue website.

Heavy chemical variations happen in polymers with the effect of ionizing radiations irrespective of their kind (X-rays, gamma rays, fast and slow neutrons, fast electrons, alpha particles, protons, and other products of nuclear reactions). The polymer have many applications in the fields of nuclear physics , dosimetry, and radiation protection, so that the papers of this issue must include applications of polymer of type solid state nuclear track detectors in the field of nuclear physics and radiation protection; these articles like effect of gamma radiations on solid state nuclear state detectors as ( CR-39, LR-115, CN-85,……etc), effect of Alpha radiations on solid state nuclear state detectors as ( CR-39, LR-115, CN-85,……etc). Study of the optical and structural properties of solid state nuclear track detectors using alpha, and gamma sources. Modifications the optical and thermal properties of polymers using different types of radioactive sources, and development some of devices related to the applications of alpha radiations based on solid state nuclear track detectors. In general, charged particles passing through matter deposit energy in the detector material and cause eirreversible modifications of the macromolecular structure of the detector material. The optical properties of matter include Refraction , Absorption, Transmittance…….etc can be studied using irradiated SSNT detectors. The special issue will be deal with the applications of PADC polymer using alpha particles doses.
Aims and Scope:
Monitoring the effect of radiations on polymers.
Developing the use of solid state nuclear track detectors as a dosimeter in the field of radiations.
Increasing the impact factor of Nuclear Science journal.
