Introduction
Facial disparity has been a prominent area of concern culminating into diverse analytical approaches in solving issues such as expression, occlusion, deformation and so on. However, existing models have largely been successful in treating disparity-related issues only as a form of difference which requires measures towards addressing such even though some of these scenarios could be backed by some form of motives. For instance, researches about Human Visual Systems (HVS) have shown that there is more to reality than what is projected to the naked eyes, therefore, motive-based facial expression and motive-based facial occlusion could be a form of game-playing strategy capable of causing security-related problems as regards to the message associated with such conditions and in some cases compromise human identity; a phenomenon that falls within a concept called conflict. This special issue is to improve on our efforts towards virtual reality by narrowing the gap between HVS and Computer Vision (CV) in the area of security. Original research papers are solicited in any aspect of facial conflict and motive-based disparity.
Aims and Scope:
  1. Face Recognition Systems
  2. Facial Disparity and Symbolic Interpretation
  3. Motive-based Expression
  4. Motive-based Occlusion
  5. Facial Conflict
  6. Facial Game-playing Concept
  7. Face Message Security
  8. Application of Conflict Resolution Concept in facial disparity
