Guidelines for Submission
Manuscripts can be submitted until the expiry of the deadline. Submissions must be previously unpublished and may not be under consideration elsewhere.
Papers should be formatted according to the guidelines for authors (see: http://www.sciencepublishinggroup.com/journal/guideforauthors?journalid=320). By submitting your manuscripts to the special issue, you are acknowledging that you accept the rules established for publication of manuscripts, including agreement to pay the Article Processing Charges for the manuscripts. Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the online manuscript submission system at http://www.sciencepublishinggroup.com/login. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the special issue website.

Introduction
The Indian system of medicine known as Ayurveda has been a harbinger in the field of health maintenance. The basic principles of Ayurveda are based on the Indian Philosophical tenets that are quintessentially interwoven in the Indian culture and reflect the harmony of the man and the environment. Through the centuries the Ayurveda system of medicine has been catering to the needs of ailing community. However with the changing trends, the scientific and rational approach in the Āyurveda system is needed which is fulfilled by the process of research in Ayurveda. This special issue proposes to have an insight on the prospects of research in the Ayurveda system of medicine. Original research papers are solicited in any of the specialities of the Ayurveda and the scope of research.
