About This Special Issue
The translation of the theater is one of the subjects little studied within the area of Translation Studies. Most research and theories revolve around the translation of the narrative text. For that reason, we like to launch this special issue about the theatrical translation and the aspects that this literary genre contains, such as the dialogue form, the dimensions, the sociolinguistic aspects, etc.

Aims and Scope:

  1. the theatrical language
  2. theatrical techniques
  3. the sociolinguistic aspects of theater
  4. the annotations
  5. the dialogue
  6. reading versus stage performance
