Manuscripts can be submitted until the expiry of the deadline. Submissions must be previously unpublished and may not be under consideration elsewhere.

Introduction
Traditional Chinese medicine, is an essential part of the health care system in most parts of the world and China is a major country and source of valuable medicinal plants, herbs, crops, and of course ornamental species. TCM includes herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, massage, food therapy and physical exercise. TCM in China is partly integrating with western medicine science, researchers shall learn more from TCM and carry out more studies and researches in order to explore. As the general public tends to use non-toxic plant products, development of modern drugs from Chinese traditional herbs should be emphasized for the control of various diseases. In this special issue, we want to review some of the most important Chinese herbal medicines.
