Lack of Education in the Field of Health and Environment in Undeveloped Countries

Health and Environment are two inseparable issues. Research in these areas as a process of knowledge production leads to public health improvement. Since the development of a healthy community requires access to the latest scientific and technical knowledge and the best possible methods of service delivery, health is a branch of modern Health System Research (HSR). Therefore, it is necessary to identify and assess novel environmental pollutions and their impacts on health. The process should be continued to control or remove pollutions through new methods of action. Meanwhile, health literacy and awareness assessment and improvement in terms of environmental issues are vital. It could be done through home education (communal, group or person), school/community or self-care programs and empowerment of people. In fact, health and environment education are contained people, encouragement to adopt and maintain healthy behaviors and actions that are necessary for life. The World Health Organization (WHO) emphasizes the role of health in social development and development effects on health. Also, 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 agenda such as access to clean water and sanitation, health & education should be considered in future researches. Nowadays, by industry development and growing population, health and environmental problems are increasing in undeveloped countries. Safe water supply, improper disposal of waste and wastewater (municipal and industrial), air pollution (indoor and outdoor), soil pollution, noise pollution, occupational accidents ,and disease transmission and mortality are examples of such problems.
