Introduction
Interested in the tribological study and the scientific interpretation of its experimental facts, but also a very concrete goal in all areas that affect technology: research and codify methods that give a "good behavior" to mechanical contacts, knowing that the organs which constitute the machines "let go" today much more often by their surfaces than by their volume. The knowledge of tribology has become a necessity for many reasons:
  1. Ensure the proper functioning and reliability of the machines
  2. To reduce the cost of obtaining the friction surfaces
  3. Improve machine performance and longevity
  4. To ensure the safety of goods and persons, particularly in the field of transport
  5. Contribute to public health and comfort, for example by reducing the very numerous noises related to mechanical contact
Aims and Scope:
  1. Tribology
  2. Wear
  3. Contact
  4. Film
  5. Coating
  6. Mechanical
