Manuscripts can be submitted until the expiry of the deadline. Submissions must be previously unpublished and may not be under consideration elsewhere.

By submitting your manuscripts to the special issue, you are acknowledging that you accept the rules established for publication of manuscripts, including agreement to pay the Article Processing Charges for the manuscripts. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the special issue website.

Introduction
This issue will try to cover the state-of-the art in the subject of Brain injury and repair. It will try to cover basic neuroscience as well as clinical trials in the field. Clinical applications will encompass traumatic, vascular, degenerative, and genetic central nervous system disorders. The proposed sections of the issue will be:

A. Mechanisms of Brain injury.

B. Factors affecting Brain repair including:

1. Growth factors: Definition, classes and importance.
2. Genetic therapy: Basis and types.
3. Neuronal stem cells: Types, indication and mechanism.
4. Monoclonal antibodies.
5. Electromagnetic stimulation: Principal and mechanism.
6. Intensive physiotherapy: Rehabilitation and robotic devices.
7. Small molecules, drugs and compounds that increase cognition and repair.

C. Clinical trials in various CNS disorders e.g. traumatic, vascular, neurodegenerative.
