Abstract: The research aimed to identify the assessment practices used in the grading process and meanings included in them and the values that are taken into account in estimating grades at An-Najah National University, and to compare them between the colleges of the university. The sample consisted of (301) faculty members. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used a tool that consisted of nine evaluation positions. The results of the research indicated that the assessment practices differed in different faculties, and the score is closely related to the effort exerted by the student, and sometimes it is related to the values of compassion and mercy. and the course requirements must be fulfilled because it is an integral part of it. sometimes faculty members in some faculties appeal to the values of compassion and mercy in case the student’s situation requires that, this is after examining the student's effort, economic status, or social circumstances. The research recommends that the process of converting raw score into letter grade should be clear for all faculty members, and they should be trained on it. The study also recommends re-conducting the survey in other universities, and linking the assessment practices, their meanings, and values with other factors such as the years of experience which the faculty member spent in education and the academic rank.

Abstract: This paper discusses safety issues related to the accident involving a Colgan Air, Inc., Bombardier DHC-8-400, N200WQ, operating as Continental Connection flight 3407 with focus on strategies to prevent flight crew monitoring failures. The issue is to foster the proper training of pilots for better decision making aligned with the organization’s safety philosophy as safety capacity. The primary objective of this research is to understand further the synergetic interaction between Aeronautical Decision-Making skills and organizational Safety-II. Although retributive justice has long been accepted in the aviation industry, its effectiveness is refutable. Procedures are static tools incapable of sustaining Safety. Mere improvement in compliance creates a bureaucratic work environment permissible to hold workers against regulations. Applied New Safety concepts and restorative justice are discussed. Whilst safety capacity is detached from work as imagined, the active interaction between people and the rules is at focus. The Colgan Air flight 3407 is analyzed concerning flight crew training. Recommendations derived from the investigator are scrutinized in cross-reference with the Civil Aviation Regulator's outputs in Europe and the United States. A systemic deficiency in civilian pilot training is exposed. The research method is bibliographic and qualitative. As a result, the imminent need to subside cadets with a formal learning structure to enhance their capacity to analyze, create and evaluate outside forecasted protocols in complex, high-risk environments are discussed. Finally, these dynamics are revised at their inter-reliability as safety capacity.

Community School Management Related Educational Policy Provisions in Nepal: Perception from Implementers

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to explore the self-reflection and perception of the members of School Management Committee (SMC) of public schools on the policy provisions related to community school management in Nepal. The study explored the reflections of the education stakeholders who are at the level of community school management policy enactment. Therefore, the study reflects the perception of SMC Chairs, SMC members and Secretary of SMC. The study followed the phenomenological research design with an interpretive research paradigm. The high performing schools were sampled following the purposive sampling method based on the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results of last three years. The study found that the SMCs of community schools are satisfied with the policy provision in terms of decentralization, planning, resource mobilization, community mobilization and improving transparency. They realized that there are enough provisions to strengthen and functionalize the community schools. However, the study identified that there are some reservations in the implementation. It was found that there was lack of consultation with the relevant stakeholders while developing the policy provision. On the other hand, it was identified that the government authorities do not consult with the SMCs while implementing the policies at the school level substituting the roles of SMCs of those clauses enlisted as the roles of SMC. Similarly, the study revealed, although the community schools are provided the significant responsibilities, but the schools are not able to implement all the provisions due to the inadequate budget allocated for school education.

Abstract: Enterprise safety culture construction and ideological education are two different concepts, with their own different functions, but the two have internal relevance. Ideological education and enterprise safety culture have a high degree of conformance with the construction, ideological education can play a positive role in the construction of enterprise safety culture. The increasing improvement of the construction of enterprise safety culture has also enriched the connotation of ideological education, expanded the activity space of ideological education, made the ideological education more modern, more in line with the requirements of the development of the times, and become more adaptable. Ideological education and the construction of enterprise safety culture are gradually improved in mutual reference, mutual integration and mutual expansion, and jointly serve the safety development of enterprises. Only through the extensive education of employees through ideological education work can we further promote the construction of enterprise safety culture. To build an enterprise safety culture, we should put ideological education in the first place. Abstract: Law of the Republic of Indonesia No, 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers states that teacher competence is a set of knowledge, skills, and behaviors that must be possessed, internalized, mastered and actualized by teachers in carrying out their professional duties. This study aims to determine: (1) attitudes, motivation, and work commitment between senior teachers and junior teachers at State Vocational High Schools in South Sulawesi Province, and (2) differences in attitudes, motivation, and work commitment between senior teachers and junior teachers at Excellent State Vocational School in South Sulawesi Province. The research population is senior teachers and junior teachers at the State Vocational High School in South Sulawesi Province, as many as 94 teachers. The sample was drawn by random sampling method on both groups of teachers. The sample size for each group of teachers is 20 teachers, or 40 teachers. The variables considered are: attitudes, motivation, and work commitment of senior teachers and junior teachers. Data was collected by giving attitude, motivation, and work commitment questionnaires to both groups of teachers. The analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The inferential model is an independent t test. The results showed that: (1) attitudes, motivation, and work commitment of senior teachers were very high and junior teachers were high, (2) there were differences in attitudes, motivation, and work commitment between senior teachers and junior teachers, senior teachers were higher than junior teachers.
