Abstract: Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) is a very uncommon type of skin cancer that begins in the connective tissues of skin and extend to nearby structures in the form of lump. The cause of cutaneous fibroids is unknown, although a suggested risk factor includes skin lesions at the affected site. DFSP tends to affect people between the age of 20 and 50, but it has been diagnosed in people of all ages. This case report describes a highly recurrent DFSP disease condition of 25 years old female, who got admitted in a tertiary care cancer centre with complaints of painless swelling in the back, fever, and loss of weight since last 1 month. Surgical history revealed three past surgical excisions of the mass over the same location. CT scan and tissue biopsy revealed recurrent Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Initially, the patient was on imatinib 600 mg/PO/OD, after which there was a subjective decrease in size of mass. But as the patient was unable to tolerate high doses of imatinib, she then underwent wide local excision of the mass with split skin graft taken from right thigh under general anesthesia. Surgery was uneventful and she was discharged thereafter. As local recurrence is common, patients required close clinical follow-up after completing treatment.

Abstract: Career planning or selecting preferred job increases the job satisfaction where as a career chosen randomly adversely affects both job satisfaction as well as those receiving the care. Career planning helps them to be more satisfied in future with their job profile. An understanding of perception of nursing as career among nursing students, their job preferences and associated reasons will foster the recruitment agencies to provide conducive and promising work environment for future nurses thereby balancing between demand and supply of nursing task force and aid in their retention. Current study aims to explore the career advancement preferences of final year nursing students and associated factors influencing their plans. A descriptive cross sectional, online survey of 433 nursing students (total enumeration, final year) using structured questionnaire containing 20 items, was conducted over three months. A self developed structured questionnaire included 20 items was shared using Google form. Results showed that 36.49% of the students had nursing as their first career choice and 34.8% self motivated. 54.04% felt nursing is about caring the sick. Students wanted to pursue their career as clinical nurse (38.57%) and nurse educator (36.49%) respectively. Overall 46.19% preferred working in intensive care unit and 83.10% wished to pursue higher education.

Abstract: To verify the knowledge gained by hypertensive elderly users of the Brazilian Unified Health System SUS, intervention group, when they have access to the artistic and education video “An Impressioning Story” compared to hypertensive elderly people in the SUS, control group (received a traditional lecture). The video aimed to promote the correct and safe use of medicines, promote knowledge about hypertension and non-pharmacological practices for the tratment of the disease. Methods: A quasi-experiment was carried out to assess the significant knowledge gain before and after the lecture or video. To analyze the results, we performed the Shapiro-Wilks normality test and ANOVA for both groups: Control (N=16) and Intervention (N=17) and internally in the same group. Each group included elderly people belonging to the HiperDia group of the Municipal Community Health Centers (CSC), randomly drawn, belonging to the city of Palmas, Capital of Tocantins. Results: The mean difference value found for the Control Group and th Intervention Group, before and after the application of the lecture or video, were significant for a 95% confidence interval. Indicating that the means found in the pre and post test within the same group (p=0.00), as well as the means found between the groups (p=0.001) was statistically significant. The ANOVA test compared the knowledge gain between the Control (p=0.019) and intervention (p=0.000) groups. The Intervention group had greater knowledge gain (0.8 points on average) than the Control Group (0.2 points). Conclusion: From the results obtained, it is concluded that video is a tool that promotes knowledge gain compared to the standard methodology of knowledge transfer (lecture).

Abstract: Sociological research was carried out among 1,200 residents of St. Petersburg over 18 years of age (674 women, 526 men). According to estimates of their anthropometric data, which were provided by interviewed residents of St. Petersburg, almost half (45.6%) of them have deviations of body mass index from norm towards increase of body weight. The increase in body mass index from the norm occurs with the increase in the age of respondents. Among pensioners, excess body weight is in 28.1% and obesity is in 35.5%. In assessing the nutritional regime, respondents indicated that not everyone had the opportunity to have lunch and dinner at a certain time. The absolute majority of Petersburg residents stated that vegetables and fruits are present almost daily in their diet, but their consumption is insufficient. A pessimistic picture of reviews of consumption of products enriched with vitamins and other biologically active food components is revealed. Excessive consumption of fats, sugar and confectionery products, as well as pasta, cereals, bread and potatoes are more often present in the daily diet in persons without higher education, and in Petersburg citizens with higher education less often exclude dairy products, vegetables and fruits from nutrition. The absolute majority (75.3%) of citizens believe that unsustainable nutrition is harmful and can cause severe diseases. Women, young people and those with higher education are somewhat more likely to be convinced.

Abstract: To care for more patients safely and cost effectively, many health care facilities and organizations are creating positions for and utilizing a large number of unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP). The role of unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) is critical for their success or failure. UAP play important role in compromising the safety which is the product of individuals' proper role, values, attitudes, and competencies. Aim: This study aimed to explore the relationship between UAP role and patient safety. Method: Descriptive, correlational design was conducted at Menoufia University Hospital (MUH) and National Liver Institute (LI) at inpatient units where the UAP work in. Purposeful equal samples of (73) UAP and (73) patients were recruited from mentioned hospitals. Data was collected by researcher self-administered questionnaire and observation checklist. Results: The highest percentage (80.0.8%) of UAP were done improper role completely. The highest mean score (18.0±2.1) of patient safety was noticed in adverse events parameter. Followed by mean score of admission and safety information parameter (12.7±2.2) and the lowest mean score was present in pain control of patient safety parameter (3.5±1.8). More than three quarter (88.9%) of patients in (MUH) felt no safety regarding the care provided by UAP compared to (LI) were (73.0%). There was statistically significance correlation between improper role of unlicensed assistive personnel and patient safety. Conclusion: Study concluded that there was statistically significance correlation between improper role of unlicensed assistive personnel and patient safety, this can explain the relationship between improper role of UAP and the patients experiences no safety of care provided to them by UAP. Recommendations: Develop written job descriptions; developed educational standards, role definitions, and scopes of practice for UAP; hold unit specific training program; proper delegation; good supervision; and further research should be used to inform the development of regulations for educational preparation and utilization of these providers beside the factors that contribute to patients feeling unsafe in the healthcare setting.
