Overload of homework has a serious impact on the physical and mental health of middle school students, and also seriously hinders the development and improvement middle school students' thinking, which is an inherent problem in secondary education. All sectors of society have been enthusiastic about finding a solution to this problem, but the effect is not satisfactory The author of this article, drawing on the strengths of others and combining his own 37 years of teaching practice, believes that taking eight measures, namely, updating concepts, selecting best people, optimizing teaching, improving assessment, helping employment, treating teachers well, adjusting courses and balancing resources, can effectively reduce the heavy homework burden of middle school students, optimize "ecology of education" and further promote the comprehensive and healthy development of middle school students.
