This research aims to bridge the gap between computational corpus linguistics and literary studies, with a specific focus on the novel as the most prominent narrative form. This aim was accomplished through two ways: The first involved a review of Western efforts in this field, examining their methodologies for applying corpus linguistics to the analysis of narrative texts and identifying their key findings. The review emphasizes some of the practical advantages of the application of corpus linguistics methods in the analysis of narrative language used in literary texts, such as efficiently searching large datasets, testing hypotheses, identifying hidden patterns on the basis of solid and objective evidence, and conducting comparative analysis between writers. The second involved conducting an empirical analysis of a Saudi Novels Corpus to uncover various patterns related to the linguistics and stylistic behaviour within Saudi narrative discourse. By employing this exploratory approach and utilizing the computational functions provided by available corpus tools, this research identified several key findings that were reported in the paper.
